The Lake County Sheriff's Office says the girls - ages 14, 13, 10 and 8 - made it to the island but then lost their paddles, and couldn't leave due to large waves.         

Authorities have identified the suspect as a 50-year-old Saudi doctor who arrived in Germany in 2006 and had received permanent residency.         

Kara Rose, 33, pushed a deputy in court, causing serious injuries to his knees.         

Public meetings are slated to take place in Waterville and Waterville Township.
